What we store
Your account (email, date of birth, gender, home city, and your name if you add it or sign in with Google), the style details you choose to share (such as height or favourite colours), the photos of your clothes, the tags on them, the outfits you ask for, like or wear, and, if you use Try-On, your full-body photo or virtual model and the pictures made from them. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash.
Where it is stored
On our server in Germany. Clothing photos may instead be kept in Cloudflare R2 storage in Europe. Photos are private: only you can see them, through the app.
Who else processes it
- Google Gemini receives the photos of your clothes to recognise their type, colour and fabric, and the text you type, so StyleMe understands your request.
- Photoroom (servers in the United States) receives the photos of your clothes to remove their background. Location and other details stored in the photo file are removed first.
- FASHN receives, only when you tap Try it on, your full-body photo (or your virtual model, made from your skin tone, body shape and height) and the photos of the clothes in that look, to make the picture of you wearing it. FASHN deletes the pictures we send after processing and does not use them for training.
- Open-Meteo receives your city or its coordinates to show the weather. When you use “Use my current location”, your coordinates are also sent to OpenStreetMap to find the city name.
- Sign in with Google: if you use it, we receive only your name, your email address and a Google account id. We do not get your Google password or anything else from your Google account. The Google button itself is loaded from Google on the welcome, sign-in and sign-up pages.
- Our email provider sends the emails you need, such as password reset and email confirmation links.
What we don't do
No ads, no tracking, and we do not sell your data. The app uses one cookie, to keep you signed in.
Your choices
You can change your details and delete your account on the Profile page at any time. Deleting your account removes your account and everything in it, including every photo, from our systems.
